At Drivers Lounge, we specialize in showcasing some of the finest driving roads in Japan. We are excited to introduce our Mount Fuji Driving Tour, an unforgettable full-day driving experience featuring approximately 8 hours of scenic mountain roads, breathtaking viewpoints, and multiple opportunities to enjoy Mount Fuji from some of the region's most spectacular locations.
Unlike conventional sightseeing tours, this experience takes you onto the slopes of Mount Fuji itself. By driving up the mountain, you will enjoy views and perspectives that most visitors never get to experience. While weather conditions can occasionally obscure the summit from certain distant viewpoints, our route maximizes your chances of enjoying Mount Fuji throughout the day.
The tour begins with a relaxed 1.5 hour drive from our office in Kawasaki to Gotemba, the gateway to Mount Fuji's mountain roads. From there, we ascend the mountain via the famous Fuji Skyline to Fujinomiya 5th Station, where you will have the opportunity to step onto the volcanic soil of Mount Fuji and take in panoramic views from high above the surrounding countryside.
Following lunch at a locally loved restaurant, we continue towards Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. Along the way you will enjoy a selection of engaging driving roads, as well as several exceptional viewpoints that offer some of the most photogenic perspectives of Mount Fuji.
After capturing unforgettable photos, the journey continues along the legendary Doshi Road. Stretching for approximately 40 km, this scenic route is a favourite among Japanese driving enthusiasts thanks to its flowing corners, beautiful forests, and enjoyable driving rhythm.
To conclude the day, we make the comfortable return drive back to our Kawasaki office, arriving after a full day of driving, sightseeing, and unforgettable memories.
Whether you are a driving enthusiast looking for the ultimate mountain road experience or simply searching for a unique way to visit Japan's most famous landmark, the Mount Fuji Driving Tour offers an experience unlike any other.
The Mount Fuji Driving Tour operates Monday to Friday from spring through autumn (approximately mid-April to mid-November). The tour is not available during winter due to seasonal road closures on Mount Fuji.
Please refer to the calendar below for available tour dates and vehicle combinations. As vehicle combination varies throughout the season, we recommend checking your preferred dates carefully before making a reservation.

The Fuji Tour includes car swapping during the tour, you will be exchanging cars with other participants during the tour, which means you will be able to at least experience two JDM cars of your dream at one price.
This is a all inclusive tour, all tolls, fuel, car rental cost and tour guide charges are including in the fee. However, you will need to pay for your own lunch and beverages.

* Please note that this tour does not include the Fuji Speedway Experience Lap. While it is a popular attraction for many visitors, we do not feel that the experience meets the driving standards and level of engagement that we aim to provide on our tours.*

Cars for the Tour
Kindly note that our unique Car Rotation System does not apply to this tour. However, if you are joining as a group of friends, you may swap cars within your group for an additional fee of ¥10,000 per car as a registration fee for extra driver. Please ensure prior notice is provided at least 48 hours before your tour.
* Please be aware that all cars are subject to availability on the day of your tour. In the event that your chosen car is unavailable, we will notify you. You will then have the option to select another car, reschedule your tour, or request a refund.
Itinerary
8:15 AM
Arrive at Noborito Station, where our staff will be waiting outside the Ikuta Park Exit. You will be transferred to our lounge via a complimentary 5-minute shuttle.
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Arrival at the Drivers Lounge for registration and a safety briefing.
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Begin the tour with a relaxed 1.5-hour highway drive, allowing you to become familiar with the car and local traffic conditions.
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Start the mountain drive along the Fuji Skyline towards Fujinomiya 5th Station, experiencing the unique sensation of driving on Mount Fuji itself rather than viewing it from afar. Continue down the Fuji Skyline towards our lunch destination.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Lunch at a locally loved restaurant, featuring authentic regional cuisine.
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Continue onto scenic mountain roads towards Lake Yamanaka, with stops at selected viewpoints for your best Mount Fuji photo opportunities.
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Drive the famous Doshi Road like the locals. If we are lucky, you may even encounter local driving enthusiasts along the way.
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Conclude with a relaxed return drive to our office. Unwind with a complimentary coffee in our lounge before transfer back to Noborito Station.
