Yes, Drivers Lounge is a registered company in Japan with full rental car license. Despite the additional cost that involves in having our cars registered as rental cars and specific insurance policy, all cars that we offer our customers to drive are registered under "WA" number plate, a specific type of number plate which is required by the Japanese Government, we strive to ensure that our customers can drive fully legally in Japan.
We have guides from different continents in the world, generally we offer English speaking tours but if you have specific request in terms of languages, we can offer private tour in Japanese, Cantonese and Mandarin. Please contact us if you wish to have private tours in your own language.
Our guides are professionally trained to provide the best experience to our customers with a balance of safety and enjoying the performance of our cars. However, we are driving on public roads and we must ensure you drive sensibly and responsibly without violating the traffic rules in Japan.
In the event that the driver fails to follow instructions of our guides, or driving dangerously, we reserve all rights to stop you from driving and return the car back to our guide without providing any refund.
Unless all other participants agree to drive only one specific car of their choice during the tour, we shall offer car swap to our participants as most of them wish to enjoy as many cars as they can within the tour.
From our experience it is uncommon to have someone requesting one specific car for the tour, therefore please do not expect we can accommodate such request as we need to respect the rights of our other participants.

For tours that are cancelled by us, we will offer a free change of date or a refund at the participant's choice.
Yes, everytime when you do a car swap with other customers, you will be asked to do a condition check and mark down all damages that you found on the car prior to your drive. We recommend you take a walk around video of the car highlighting all damages that you can find.

Please understand that it may be at your responsibility for damage compensation if you are unable to present proof of any daamages that are done prior to your drive.
