The ultimate Initial D experience brought to you by Drivers Lounge, takes you deep into Gunma Prefecture, the birthplace of the most iconic touge roads from the legendary series. For a limited number of dates, Drivers Lounge is offering a very special two-day guided driving tour through Gunma, featuring some of our most iconic JDM cars, including models that appeared in Initial D.
This two-day adventure begins at the Drivers Lounge office. After a relaxing two-hour highway drive to get comfortable with your car, our first touge stop is Usui Pass — keep an eye out for Mako Sato! We'll also visit the famous Usui Spectacles Bridge for a scenic photo break.
Next, we head to the thrilling curves of Myogi Pass. Want to feel like Nakazato? We’ve got a black R32 GT-R in the fleet. it’s your chance to chase the mountain roads in true Initial D style.
We then enjoy a teaser drive through Mount Haruna (Akina) before checking in to your hot spring hotel in the Ikaho Onsen area. In the evening, join our Initial D manhole cover hunt challenge, then relax with a traditional kaiseki dinner and soak in the healing waters of your ryokan.
On Day two, after a hearty Japanese breakfast, we head straight up Mount Haruna to challenge the famous five consecutive hairpins, stop at Lake Haruna, and visit the starting line of the Haruna touge, just like in the anime. And yes there’s one last Initial D manhole cover to find to complete your hunt.
Next up is the Ikaho Toy, Doll & Car Museum, home to a real-life replica of Fujiwara Tofu Shop. After the museum, we’ll enjoy lunch at one of the top-rated udon restaurants in Japan, followed by dessert and memorabilia shopping at the Initial D themed Racing Café D’z Garage.
Before heading home, we’ll drive up Mount Akagi, another legendary touge. Driving an RX-7 up the slopes of Akagi? Absolutely possible. And one more spot to make the trip more memorable, we’ll stop to fill our cars at the real life Shibukawa gas station featured in the Initial D movie.

Cars for the Tour
Our tours follow a unique and industry first Car Rotation System, allowing participants to rotate cars under the guidance of our staff, ensuring everyone gets a chance to experience different vehicles.
Please refer to the breakdown below for the cars available in your tour:
Car Allocation Based on Participants:

Each participant can nominate the cars they'd like to drive on the day. After registration, our team will contact you to understand your preferences and help with finalizing the lineup. However, final car allocation is subject to availability and staff discretion.
Note: Our guide will assist in rotating cars with customers when necessary, ensuring optimal driving experience.

Cars for the Tour
Kindly note that our unique Car Rotation System does not apply to this tour. However, if you are joining as a group of friends, you may swap cars within your group for an additional fee of ¥10,000 per car as a registration fee for extra driver. Please ensure prior notice is provided at least 48 hours before your tour.
* Please be aware that all cars are subject to availability on the day of your tour. In the event that your chosen car is unavailable, we will notify you. You will then have the option to select another car, reschedule your tour, or request a refund.
Itinerary
DAY ONE
8:45 AM
Arrive at Noborito Station. Our staff will greet you outside the Ikuta Park Exit and provide a complimentary 5-minute transfer to our lounge.
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM
Arrive at the Drivers Lounge for registration and a safety briefing.
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Leisure 2-hour highway drive to get used to the car and road conditions.
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Drive the legendary Usui pass and stop for photos at the famous red bridge.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Enjoy a meal at a spot featured in Initial D.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Climb the mountain roads of Myogi — Nakazato territory!
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
A taste of the Haruna (Akina) touge before heading to the onsen area.
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Check in at your Ikaho Hot Spring Hotel, then explore the town to find Initial D manhole covers.
Evening
Enjoy your booked kaiseki dinner and relax in a hot spring bath.
DAY TWO
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Meet up and get ready for another day of driving.

Challenge the 5 hairpins and stop by Lake Haruna and the touge starting line.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
See the real Fujiwara Tofu Shop and explore retro cars and collectibles.

Eat at one of Gunma’s top local udon restaurants (meal not included).
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Enjoy pudding and browse Initial D memorabilia.
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Drive from bottom to top of Akagi — Takahashi brothers’ home ground.
4:00 PM –6:30 PM
Easy highway cruise back to our Kawasaki office.

All driving-related costs (rental, fuel, tolls, insurance and guide) are included.
Accommodation, meals, drinks, and entrance fees are not included.

Due to the limited luggage space in the sports cars, please pack an overnight bag (up to a on-board suit case size) for ease of travel. Your main luggage can be left in the Drivers Lounge office and collect them after the tour.
