Order Your JDM Parts and Merchandise Ahead of Your Japan Trip
Only Available to Drivers Lounge Tour Customers

This service is only available to customers who have signed up for an upcoming tour. We do not offer it to non-customers, even for an additional fee.

 

As fellow JDM fans, we know the excitement of finding that rare part on Japanese sites like UpGarage or Yahoo Auctions, something you would never come across back home, only to be disappointed because you don’t have a Japanese address or a Yahoo Auctions account.

 

At Drivers Lounge, we are not just about driving tours. We are here to build a community of car enthusiasts who help each other out. That’s why we are launching a new service exclusively for customers who have booked an upcoming tour with us.


If you have signed up for one of our tours, simply send us the link to the item you want to buy. We’ll send you a quotation, and if you are happy with it, we will make the purchase on your behalf. You can then collect your item in person on the day of your tour.

 

Service Fees
Small items (e.g. up to the size of a pair of headlights):

JPY 1,650 (tax included) per item


Large items (e.g. bucket seat):

JPY 3,300 (tax included) per item


Merchandise (e.g. keychains, T-shirts from the same online shop):

JPY 1,650 (tax included) per order

Once the item arrives at our office, we will open it, check that it matches the listing, take a photo for your records, and store it safely until your tour date. You can pay in cash on the day (or by credit card with a 5% surcharge) and take it with you.

Here is an example of how the price can be calculated and also how much savings you will have compared to shipping it directly to your country (in this case, a pair of S15 tail lights and ship to Australia)

From the above comparison, you will save about JPY 23,000 on a pair of headlights. Even if your return flight baggage allowance is already taken up by your suitcase, you can simply purchase an extra baggage option with your airline. That way, you can bring back tail lights, a steering wheel, a clutch, a turbo, and more in the additional bag! If the savings on parts are significant enough, they can practically cover the cost of a tour with us.

In most cases, tourists only have time to visit the UpGarage Main Store in Yokohama Machida. But with our service, you can shop from the entire UpGarage network, as well as Yahoo Auction sellers, all across Japan!

Terms & Conditions

  • You are responsible for finding the purchase link — we cannot source parts for you.

  • Fitment is your sole responsibility; we cannot guarantee that the item will fit your car or that used parts will be fully functional.

  • We cannot ship items to your home country.

  • The total value of your purchase (including shipping) must be less than the value of your booked tour. If it’s more, advance payment by bank transfer is required.

  • Online store purchases generally include consumption tax. Purchases from private sellers will incur an additional 10% consumption tax on all fees.

  • Refunds or exchanges are only possible if the item has a major defect or does not match the description, in which case we will assist with a return/exchange immediately.

  • Tax-free purchases are not available as we are not a registered tax-free shop.

 

Additional Notes

  • Check your baggage allowance for both size and weight before purchasing. We’ve successfully checked in bucket seats as luggage (well-wrapped), but items like bumpers or bonnets are generally not accepted by airlines.

  • Suspension cannot be checked in as luggage because it contains gas and is classified as dangerous goods.

  • Many brand-new parts from tuner shops require long lead times. If you have a list of items in mind, we recommend ordering 2–3 months in advance.

  • Car parts can be heavy or bulky, so you are more than welcome to bring a suitcase to our office, leave it with us during your tour, and then, after the tour, pack your parts inside and roll your suitcase back to your hotel.

  • Our service fees only just cover the costs of running this service — please be kind to us! 😊
